A group of us met at the Rockville Park & Ride Sunday, May 1, to do some section maintenance & it was quite a shock to see "Park & Ride Closed" on a portable sign between the exit and the lot. Fortunately, the closure didn't start until the next day so we were able to park there. Any groups planning to meet at the P & R over the next 10 days or so will have to find another place to park .... the sign says "use alt. parking" but doesn't give specific alternatives. Our little group was speculating as to what sort of work might be done on the P & R that would require a closure of this length & we all have our fingers crossed that maybe it will be paved (?) ... some of those potholes in the lot are getting a bit deep!
