Bill Tennant (Willyten10@aol.com or (804)282-0590)  This is one of the nicest hikes in Shenandoah National Park and this time of year the color is outstanding.  We start the hike with a walk down to a secluded glen to visit the South River waterfall and mountain pool, then hike on to an old forest cemetery and the ruins of an  old church/school. Then it's on past one of the original PATC cabins, and finish with nearly 3 miles on one of the nicest sections of the Appalachian Trail.  A walk in the Park on a fall day.  Everyone welcome, but at 10.2 miles and 1800 feet of elevation change, it will be a full day of walking in the mountains.  Covid rules apply- No car pooling, social distancing, no recent covid symptoms or exposure and limited group size.  Contact Bill for starting location and time.
