The middle of the hike has a steady but not steep climb up out of the Big Run valley. At 1600 feet of elevation, it’s not a beginner’s hike, but is well suited for those who enjoy some exercise and look forward to a nice walk in the woods. Should be back in the Richmond area around 5.
