The old trolly line, that we well walk Wednesday, is the only open part of the new Ashland to Petersburg trail. The town of Ashland just spend $250,000.00 to upgrade the tail and had the grand opening on April 26, 2021. Come see the new trail. This hike is only open to hikers that have had both shots. No sign-in required. Meet in the parking lot behind the Town Library at 201 S. Railroad Av. in downtown. Coming from I-95, take Rte. 54 West, and after the old Ashland movie theater, turn left on Virginia Street and follow the parking signs. No dogs please. Optional lunch. Meet at 10:00 am. The hike is about 5 miles.
