The Club will hold its annual election of officers for 2022 during this meeting. The slate of officers will be communicated in advance to the membership.
Our speaker for March is Kevin Heffernan Here is his topic and and bio -
Kevin Heffernan is Stewardship Biologist for Virginia's Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). He is the primary author of the DCR Invasive Plant Species List and the Virginia Invasive Species Management Plan. He serves as chairman of the Invasive Species Advisory Committee, which provides information to the Secretaries of Natural Resources and Agriculture and other state agency leaders. Kevin has worked for DCR's Natural Heritage Program for over 25 years, conducting biological surveys for rare and invasive species, participating in natural area restoration and invasive species management projects, and promoting the use of native plants in landscaping, roadsides, and utility-scale solar sites.
We will meet at the Tuckahoe Library at 6:30 March 8. Business meeting starts at 7:00. Masks are required and no snacks will be provided.

The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.
The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.
Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
