Bill Tennant (Willyten10@aol.com or (804) 282-0590) Here's a good way to get back into the mountains and enjoy lunch on the shore of a nice mountain lake. This hike begins off the Blue Ridge Parkway and is downhill in the morning and a little uphill in the afternoon. We'll hike at a comfortable pace and enjoy the day. At 8 miles and about 1400 feet of elevation climb, it's not a beginner's hike, but is suitable for anyone who enjoys a good walk in the woods. Limit 12 hikers. Contact Bill for starting time and meeting location.
