ODATC Section Hike – Part 1. This moderate mountain hike is the first of two parts in hiking the ODATC’s section of the Appalachian Trail. This 7.5 miler has about 1,000 feet of elevation gain and begins at the Humpback Rocks parking lot and ends at Rockfish Gap. In between we’ll visit the Glass Hollow Overlook and the Paul C Wolfe shelter, and we’ll also need to do a short car shuttle. Please contact Randy (randy.wendell@verizon.net) for more details.

The ODATC Mission

The construction and maintenance of foot trails for hikers, including the Appalachian Trail between Reids Gap and Rockfish Gap.

The provision of excursions on such trails or other areas.

Offering educational activities related to the need for preserving the great outdoors.
