Mark your calendar for the Triple T!! I plan to offer hikes from Jan-May on the third Thursday of the month. These will start off being local to 1.5 hours away which covers most of the state parks located within 1.5 hours of Richmond. State parks will have an entrance fee or you can purchase an annual pass. Hikes will be 7 - 10 miles and limited to 15 participants. Locations may change depending on the weather forecast. For details contact Theresa Duffey (taduffey2054@comcast.net).
Located north of Charlottesville, this 570 acre park offers over 16 miles of trails, several paralleling Preddy Creek. Typical habitat for the Piedmont with a mix of hardwoods and evergreens, mixed topography with minor climbs along ravines and flat along the creek. Depending on snowfall, could be some wet areas. The creek is crossed via a bridge. Bring water and lunch or snacks. For details contact Theresa.
