IMPORTANT NOTE - THIS MEETING WILL BE AT LIBBIE MILL LIBRARY, NOT AT OUR USUAL LOCATION.
Mills Kelly, Virginia's Lost Appalachian Trail
For our first meeting of the fall, we will have historian and hiker Mills Kelly tell us about part of the history of the Appalachian Trail. In 1952, the Appalachian Trail Conference moved 300 miles of the AT more than 50 miles to the west. This change was the single largest rerouting of the trail in its long history. His talk is based on his latest book, Virginia’s Lost Appalachian Trail. You can learn more at his website, https://millskelly.net/
Social time will begin at 6:30, and the business meeting will begin just after 7:00.
