This will be an 8 mile point to point hike to the Appalachian Trail, south to north. We will start at the parking area for Little Stony Man and hike to the parking area at Thornton Gap. We will gain about 1,200 feet and lose even more. There are a number of great views along the way, especially at Mary's Rock.
We will need a car shuttle from among the drivers so that this hike is not a long out and back. I am limiting the hike to about a dozen. Contract Art Ritter (o2behiking@yahoo.com) to sign up.
