5 mile hike in Deep Run Park Please meet us at 9:50 AM in the Deep Run Recreation Center parking lot, the first left after entering the park off Ridgefield Parkway. We are including an inner loop with paved paths as well as a second wooded outer loop. The first half is about 2.5 miles, returning to the Recreation Center for anyone who would like to end the hike at this point. After a short break we will continue on somewhat challenging wooded trails that present heavily rooted and rocky surfaces. It is strongly advised that everyone participating in the entire hike wear good footgear and carry a hiking pole. Restrooms are available. Lunch as a group at a local restaurant is an option following the hike. No contact with Jim is necessary; just show up and be prepared to enjoy the activity.
