Do you enjoy seeing how the James River intersects with urban life in our region? Then join Anne-Marie McCartan for a walk that will take in portions of the Capital Trail, the Low Line, Tobacco Row, and Rockets Landing. We’ll cover just over 4 miles in under 2 hours. Meet by 9:50 at the large parking lot off Nicholson St and Water Street. Heading out of town on East Main Street, turn right on Nicolson St at the light, after the roundabout. We’ll walk to the starting point of the Capital Trail, stroll the Low Line, cross the street and walk along Tobacco Row, return to the Capital Trail and see the new residential buildings in Rockets Landing. Lunch afterwards to Island Shrimp Co. is recommended!
