A wonderful out and back hike of about 5 miles along the Chesapeake Bay in Hampton,VA. This will be a hike at two speeds. For those into Bird Watching it will be at a slower pace and we may not complete the hike. Others can proceed at their own pace to complete the hike along the shoreline in about 3 hours. Dress for the weather and bring water, snacks, and sun protection. You can bring a lunch to eat while looking at the Bay or maybe pick up something after completing the hike. After the hike if time permits, recommend visiting Fort Monroe. We will meet at 9:30am at the Entrance Sign to the Preserve. (No toilets, so suggest stopping before arrival.) Hike is limited to 8 and no dogs. Parking is limited so I recommend Carpooling when possible. To participate contact Howard Davis at hsdhiker@gmail.com no later than Sunday Feb 11th.
