An 8-to-9-mile shuttle hike using sections of the Willis River and Bear Creek Lake State Park Trails located in the Cumberland State Forest. We will meet at the Bear Creek Lake Park Office near the Campground. After setting up our shuttle we will hike a 5.5 miles section of the Willis River Trail. Then lunch will be followed by a 2–3-mile loop hike in Bear Creek Lake State Park as time permits. Our hike will include lakes, creek bottoms, beaver dams, and an appreciation of the wildness that can be a Piedmont Forest. Dress for the weather and bring lunch, snacks, and water. And depending on recent weather the Trails could have some sloppy spots along with 1 or 2 Wet Stream Crossings so be sure to come prepared. Hike limit 6 and sorry, No Dogs for this hike.
